Flight Information

The airport terminal is located at 60 Toru Road, Paraparaumu consisting of attractive public areas, check in facilities, i-land café for a range of food and beverages.

Car Parking

The airport operates Short Term and Long Term car parking facilities controlled by "Pay & Display" machines. Tickets need to be purchased from a parking machine upon arrival and displayed on the car dashboard whilst in the car parks.

Payment for the machines are by:

  • Credit Card (Visa and MasterCard only)
  • Text-a-Park (Vodafone only)
  • Coins
    • - Please note the machines do not have the ability to give change or a refund. Please read the payment instructions on the machines carefully.

The Short Term car park fees are $1 for the first hour, $2 per hour thereafter to a maximum of $8 per 24 hours.

The Long Term car park is locked each night – a flat fee of $8 per 24 hours applies.

Vehicles without a valid parking ticket may be clamped or towed away at the vehicle owner's expense.

The Long Term car park is secured and open during airline scheduled operating hours only. Generally, normal car park opening hours are typically:

  • Monday - Friday: 5:45am - 7:40pm
  • Saturday: 5:45am - 11:25am
  • Sunday: 3:30pm - 7:40pm

IMPORTANT: Operating hours are subject to change with airline schedule variation and holiday periods. Please refer to the respective airline flight schedule on their website for up to date operating hours:

Airline ground staff close the car park after the arrival of the last flight of the day and all passengers have retrieved their vehicles. To accommodate passengers on a cancelled or diverted evening flight, airline ground staff will keep the Long Term car park open longer as appropriate.

After hours access to the Long Term car park is only by prior arrangement with airport management, or by priority access which is subject to a $20 call-out fee. This fee must be paid at the time of vehicle retrieval.

Vehicles parked in both the Short Term and Long Term car parks are parked at the owner's risk. Kapiti Coast Airport Holdings Ltd accepts no responsibility for any damage or theft.

Kapiti Coast Airport offers an opportunity for corporate and general public charter flights to all airports in New Zealand, including second and third level aerodromes.

Sounds Air – provides an aircraft charter service to any New Zealand location utilising Cessna Caravan aircraft. Along with the normal 12 standard seat arrangement, their aircraft can also have a 6 seat luxury leather interior installed in a few minutes for the charter market.

Scenic Flights

Kapiti Heliworx provides a wide variety of scenic flights, ranging from local flights, over Kapiti Coast to the top of the South Island, and Marlborough Sounds. For those more adventurous, gliding is also available at Wellington Gliding Club, one of the most active gliding clubs in New Zealand, based at Kapiti Coast Airport.
